Delete your H7 Chat account and related data.
This page explains how current H7 Chat users can request account deletion from inside the app, or by email if they cannot access the app. It reflects the current project account flow: Me, Account Security, Delete Account.
In-App Deletion
How to delete your account in H7 Chat
If you can still sign in, the fastest and safest path is the in-app deletion flow, because it verifies the account currently logged in on your device.

Open Me
Go to the Me page, then open Account Security.

Delete Account
Select Delete Account and read the confirmation prompt carefully.

Confirm
Confirm the deletion request. After success, H7 Chat clears local login data and returns to sign-in.
Account deletion is permanent. Deleted accounts, profile data, contact relationships, group relationships, uploaded files, and private chat local keys may not be recoverable.
Data Handling
What data will be deleted or retained
We process account deletion requests according to product, security, privacy, and legal requirements.
Data we delete or anonymize
After verification, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account where applicable, including:
- Account profile data, avatar, nickname, phone number, and account identifiers.
- Friend relationships, contact records, blacklist status, and group membership data.
- Chat service records and uploaded files linked to the deleted account, where deletion is technically and legally available.
- Private chat device key records and related private-message service state.
Data we may retain
Some records may be retained only where needed for legal compliance, safety, and operational obligations, such as:
- Security logs, anti-abuse records, fraud prevention evidence, or account risk records.
- Information required to handle disputes, reports, complaints, legal requests, or platform review requirements.
- Backups that are automatically overwritten within normal backup cycles.
- Data that has already been anonymized and can no longer identify you.
Email Requests
Request deletion if you cannot access the app
If you uninstalled H7 Chat, lost access to your account, or cannot complete the in-app flow, send an email request. Please include enough information for account verification.
Information to include
- Registered phone number or account ID.
- Nickname or profile information used in H7 Chat.
- A clear statement that you request account deletion.
- Optional reason for deletion.
Processing time
We normally complete verified deletion requests within 7 to 15 business days. If account ownership cannot be verified, we may ask for additional information before processing the request.
